Looks like it could be Kalou

Gold has confirmed on Twitter that we are not interested in Remy which is obvious with his Rape case coming up soon. Hooper is going to Fulham by the looks of it so that kind of leaves Kalou unless we are going to be surprised (which could well happen)

Only thing that concerns me is that he went to Lille for FREE!  Now they want nearly 6 Million for him to come to us! That has to be the best bit of business they have made in years! It also shows a little desperation on our part that we are prepared to part with that kind of money for a player that was originally a Bosman.

That aside Kalou is still only 27 and he scored 16 goals for Lille in the season he arrived. Tried and tested in the Prem we know he will fit right in but I’m wondering if he is also a winger? I have vague memories of him playing on the wing for Chelsea but I’m not too sure. Officially a striker so would he like playing on the wing?

Even if it is Kalou we still need another striker that will be a kind of impact player that will put up with spending long periods of time on the bench (good luck with that) and is unwanted by his club and cant find another one.
