If you never concede a goal, you're going to win more games than you lose.
Guaranteed we’ll have a sugar daddy within 2 years of being in the Olympic Stadium.
Agree, it will be like moving into a new house. Stadiums ready to go…
I have been waiting for a big rich billionaire to take an interest in us. The only question I had was whether any potential takeover would happen before or after the move into the OS.
It should be noted, though, that I there is only one source reporting this rumour (as far as I can find). That is ExWHUEmployee here:
Also the article states:
“Another interesting bit of news, and I haven’t been able to verify it, is that there are a number of investors who are really keen to get on board. Westfield are very keen still to be heavily involved (as has been widely reported) and there has been rumours of a Qatari family showing an interest as well, with a large financial force behind them. Of course this is pure speculation but I really do believe there are exciting times ahead of us.”
He/she is honest about this being speculation but the key words here are “get on board”. To what extent? We are left to guess this along with the truth of the whole rumour.
So it’s a very loose story at the moment from only one source who admits that they cannot verify the story. Early days but it does line up with my (our?) hopes of progression at this very exciting time for the club.
Then again, do we really NEED new owners/financial backers? WE’re doing well, have a great squad,,,
