Change of tactics needed

So he’s stubborn but that stubbornness is going to leave Allardyce jobless come Xmas if we are languishing near the bottom. He built a whole team around Carroll adding Jarvis and Downing to ping them crosses into the tallman to get’em on his head and into the back of the net.

Well that was the theory but with sicknote Andy now out for about 6 months things need to change. Yes FatSam it’s time to stick that attitude of yours to one side and change the formation to fit a team without Carroll.

Personally I’m in favour of a 4-4-2 but with a twist. I think Ravel should sit behind Petric up front and with Jarvis, Noble, Nolan and Diame in midfield. Downing and Cole are injured for a month each so count them out, if things are going tits up then change it to a 4-3-3 with Vaz Te on.

Either way we cant play the one up front system without Andy so Allardyce has to change things or we are going to get murdered out there!

  1. Do you really think big Sam is for change?, Sundays team will be the same old cack. Adrian, Rat, Ravel, Petric, all on the bench. and the David’s haven’t got the bottle to get rid.

  2. I like that team but not sure about Noble on the left. I too would drop Nolan, put Noble in his place and play Collison on the left.

Alternatively, drop Jarvis for Collins and play 3-5-1-1 with Tomkins, Reid and Collins at the back and Demel and Rat as wing backs but that depends on Demel and Rat being able to play that role.

Of course we know that Allardyce will never drop Nolan and I fear that all he’ll do at Southampton is shut up shop and play for a 0-0 or a 1-0 from a set piece, either continuing with Maiga as the lone striker or replacing him with Petric. Either way it’s still a square peg in a round hole.

  3. Hey Mr Boleyn wots your prediction on sunday’s game as I can see West Ham getting zilch as I think there be lucky to escape the dreaded drop
