Former West Ham man nears Juventus switch

Alessandro Diamanti in action for Italy

Former West Ham man Alessandro Diamanti is on the verge of signing for Juventus.

The forward spent just over a season at Upton Park and was a crowd favourite before he moved to Brescia in the summer of 2010.

He has since moved on to Bologna and is now close to moving again – this time to the Serie A champions.

With Emanuele Giaccherini departing for Sunderland there is a gap in the Juventus squad and Antonio Conte wants to bring in Diamanti for a fee of around £8m.

And numerous reports in Italy suggest the deal could be concluded by the end of the week.

    • They say he wanted to leave so ok but why for so little? He left to £2 Million and will be sold for 10 to juve. What a joke!
