4-6million quid for a Liverpool flop?
Sevilla FC have joined West Ham United in the race for unsettled Liverpool midfielder Christian Poulsen , according to Spanish sources.
The Danish Vini Jones has failed to impress since joining Liverpool from Juventus FC Torino for €5.5 million in the summer. He has played 15 games for the Reds, but that includes seven in the UEFA Europa League in which coach Roy Hodgson has rested several regulars.
With 82 caps for Denmark, Poulsen is a seasoned international. He made his name at Juventus as an aggressive defensive midfielder who is composed in possession, but he hasn’t met expectations at Anfield and may need a move to get his career back on track.
The 30-year-old has a contract at Liverpool until 2013 and is valued at €5M-7.5M.
