OH you are good Arry! very good!
Harry Redknapp wants to bolster his midfield during the transfer window – but says Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would have to change his policy to land Scott Parker from West Ham.
Redknapp insisted that there had been no contact with West Ham about Parker.
“We haven’t made any move for him,” said Redknapp. “Midfield is the only area where I don’t have many options, we are really short there. I like Parker, but he belongs to West Ham.
“He will also be 31 next birthday and they will want £15million. Daniel wouldn’t buy players of that age, on big wages with no sell-on.”
Two other possible targets are Mark van Bommel of Bayern Munich and Lassana Diarra of Real Madrid.
But Redknapp admits that it is already hard to keep his current squad happy.
“The likes of Robbie Keane, Nico Kranjcar, Jamie O’Hara and David Bentley want to be out there playing and it is a difficult one for sure. They get a bit low,” he added.
Put the pressure on Parker, get him to hand in a transfer thus reducing his transfer value, letting WHU know he has midfielders who are desperate to leave, he has other targets if Parker doesn’t come etc etc
