Show me the money!

Avram Grant wants £10million to spend in the transfer window to get West Ham out of relegation trouble.

The manager is looking for up to three players and claims there is time for his team to close the gap that is opening at the foot of the table.

‘We certainly need additional players, dangerous players,’ said Grant after Saturday’s 3-1 defeat by Manchester City left them five points from safety.

‘Even if everyone is fit we still want to be strong in every position. If the owners gave me £10million, that would be great.

‘We are five points from safety and that is not a lot when you still have more than half of the season still to play.’

Yet forward Junior Stanislas insists the club must not stop believing they can stay up. ‘We can definitely pick up points from the next four or five games,’ he said.
