Grant bookies next manager for the chop
Bookmakers William Hill rates the Israeli boss as the 5/4 most likely to be heading for the exit, after the Hammers lost yet another match.
After going down 1-0 at Sunderland yesterday (December 5th), the firm offers the shortest odds on a Grant departure, ahead of Chelsea chief Carlo Ancelotti at 5/1.
Also said to be contenders for the chop are Manchester City’s Roberto Mancini, at 6/1, as well as Wigan manager Roberto Martinez, who is 7/1.
“Avram must be fast running out of chairman’s votes of confidence,” explains the firm’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Meanwhile, West Ham are joint favourites with Wolves to finish bottom of the top flight table this season, at odds of 5/2.
The Upton Park club have won just two of their 16 Premier League outings so far this year.
