Fulham the latest club interested in Carlton Cole
West Ham United are prepared to sell Carlton Cole…but only to the right club.
Cole has endured a difficult season so far for the Hammers, having found the back of the net just once in nine starts for the Premier League basement club.
Avram Grant is open to the idea of selling the 26-year-old when the window reopens, so he can then use this cash to invest in his squad at Upton Park.
However, previous suitors Liverpool are believed to have cooled their interest in the player, whilst Tottenham Hotspur are now looking at a higher-profile addition.
Fulham, though, are said to be willing to take a chance on Cole, as they look to boost a goal return which currently reads at just fifteen from the same number of fixtures.
Whilst United are happy to listen to offers, Fans FC understands a sale to Craven Cottage is not favoured in the boardroom, due to the potential embarrassment it could bring.
Mark Hughes side are only three points ahead of United, and if Cole fires them to survival at the expense of the Hammers, his transfer would go down as a massive own-goal.
