This had better be lies LIES! Warnock to take over!!!!!
NEIL WARNOCK is the surprise front-runner to boss West Ham.
The Upton Park side’s woes deepened when they were held 0-0 at home by Blackpool and co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold are fast losing patience with manager Avram Grant.
Gold and Sullivan are long-time admirers of Warnock, who has turned Championship side QPR into promotion favourites, and see his abrasive nature as ideal for a relegation battle.
The two owners are reluctant to axe Grant so soon after appointing him, but Hammers are rock-bottom of the Premier League with a third of the season gone and fans are fearing the worst.
Grant has a four-year deal so sacking him would prove costly as well as embarrassing for the Hammers owners, who appointed the Israeli in the summer as a replacement for Gianfranco Zola.
But they have been concerned by a poor start to the season and fear for the club’s top-flight status.
Warnock (above) is happy at QPR after quitting Crystal Palace to take over at Loftus Road in March. He saved the west London club from relegation and has led them to an impressive start this term.
The club recently distanced itself from a comment by former chairman Flavio Briatore that Warnock could be replaced as manager by former Italy manager Marcello Lippi if he won promotion.
Great championship manager so maybe they have given up as well and already planning their season in the fizzypop.
