Hammers to battle Blackburn for Sebastian Larsson
Birmingham look likely to lose Danish winger Sebastian Larsson to Blackburn Rovers for £1m in the new year.
Larsson’s current deal at St Andrew’s runs out next summer and he appears to be nowhere near to signing a new deal at the club so Blues may well sell him in January to avoid him walking out for nothing at the end of the season.
Blackburn are about to be taken over by the Indian company VH Group who are thought to be ready to hand boss Sam Allardyce a transfer war chest, albeit a small one worth between £5m and £10m, to spend in the new year.
The former Arsenal youngster is wanted by West Ham but he is on the books of Kentaro – the football agency who are close partners of VH in the Rovers takeover- so a move to Ewood Park looks the favourite.
