Grant weighing up an 500k offer for Adam Hammill
Avram Grant is believed to be weighing up a £500,000 move for Barsnley striker Adam Hammill but faces stiff competition.
The 22-year-old is catching the eye of a number of clubs and Grant will have to fight off interest from Blackpool, who are the favourites to sign him, Bolton, Wigan and Newcastle for the player who has shone for Barnsley this season.
Hammill has a reported clause in his deal at the club which allows him to leave if a Premier Leeague side comes in with an offer of £500,000 for the player and that looks increasingly likely to happen.
Liverpool allowed local boy Hammill to join Barnsley initially on loan but then on a full time basis in August last year but they are now said to be anxious in case they have made a mistake with so much top fligh interest in the player.
Not what I’d call prolific, played 51 times for Barnsley scored a grand total of 8 goals FFS!
