Do have an exclusive? understands that West Ham United have sealed a deal to bring Newell’s Old Boys forward Mauro Formica to Upton Park in the January transfer window.

The Hammers have tracked Formica since the summer with irons co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan desperate to finalise a deal in time for the close of the summer, however contractual issues prevented the transfer from being completed.

However according to a representative of the playmaker can confirm that the Hammers will sign the 22-year-old in the January transfer window for an undisclosed fee.

Formica was born in Rosario and has played for Newell’s for his entire career making his debut in 2007. The talented youngster has also been called up by the Argentinean national team but was forced to pull out of potential squads for last summer’s World Cup due to a persistent thigh injury. Formica has made 62 appearances scoring 15 goals.
This story doesn’t appear anywhere else as far as I can see.
