Carlos Queiroz looking for a job

Former Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz is ready to listen to offers and West Ham could be looking in his direction soon.

The sacked Portugal coach, who won the Premier League twice as assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson, has revealed he rejected an offer from Fulham over the summer.
“I was still the coach of Portugal,” said Queiroz, “but in the summer I received some proposals. Japan and Australia were interested and then there was also an approach from Fulham where I had to answer negatively.
“I am sure that in the months ahead there will be offers.”
West Ham boss Avram Grant is believed to be on the chopping block, despite denials from the Hammers hierarchy.
The Israeli manager will not be on the bench for this weekend’s clash with Stoke City because he is required to participate in 25 hours of fasting and prayer over the course of Friday and Saturday.
