..and from LB we move over to RB

Avram Grant is interested in bringing experienced Hamburg right-back Guy Demel to West Ham.

29-year-old Demel has been awarded 28 caps for Ivory Coast and has been playing in the Bundesliga for the past ten years, following a very brief spell at Arsenal in 2000.

Demel is a very strong and athletic defender who is keen to get forward and puts good crosses into the box.

According to The Sun, Demel is keen to move to England and West Ham boss Grant wants to strengthen his squad further, despite having brought several new faces to Upton Park over the summer, including Pablo Barrera , Frederic Piquionne and Winston Reid .

West Ham have endured a disappointing start to the season, losing both of their Premier League games so far, to Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers. Julien Faubert has played at right-back for the Hammers on both occasions.

  1. Why do you constantly put OLD stories out. This was when Grant the slug was the manager. Liven up and put up to date stories.
