Looks like the wait was worth it Curbs.
A while back Curbs was said to be waiting for ‘the big one’. Well the wait was worth it……
Alan Curbishley will be appointed as the new manager of Hull City this week, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The 52-year-old has been out of football since quitting as West Ham United boss in September 2008 yet could now be set for a return to management.
And Hull believe Curbishley is the ideal man to take the club back to the Premier League after they were relegated last season.
The Tigers have been looking for a new manager after Iain Dowie failed the keep the club in the top-flight after replacing Phil Brown in January.
Curbishley led Charlton to two promotions during his tenure at the Valley and also took West Ham to the 2006 FA Cup Final.
Yet having dropped out of the Premier League last season the Tigers also face severe off-field problems with the club reportedly £27 million in debt and with a wage bill of over £40m.
Does he realise they have no money? So cant buy players on 5yr contracts paying them 70k a week!
