West Ham United are reportedly keen to offer Burnley FC midfielder Chris Eagles a quick route back to the Premier League.

The Daily Mail claims the Hammers have the former Manchester United winger in their sights.

Eagles helped the Clarets achieve promotion to the Premier League after joining from the Red Devils, but he has since suffered the despair of relegation after only one season in the top flight.

Eagles believes he is at an age where he needs to be playing regularly art the highest level domestically and it seems the Upton Park club are prepared to give him that opportunity.

However, they will probably face stiff competition for the talented Eagles from the likes of Tottenham and Everton.
