Was a time that players ‘signed’ for a club, for an agreed price, & for a fixed period.

No longer. First there was ‘The Carrick deal’, then there was ‘Tevezgate’ & now there is ‘Ba-gate’

Demba Ba has a GREAT agent.

Not only did he do a deal with us, that should we get relegated from the Premiership, he could ‘walk’ away, for free, but his subsequent club Newcastle Utd’s deal stipulates that should an offer be put in for him of more than 10million, he has the option to leave AND a third of it to be payed to Demba Ba himself.

SAM ALLARDYCE has made a THIRD bid of £5million for Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes.
Allardyce has stepped up his attempts to sign the Scotland international and offered £4million plus a guaranteed £1m if the Hammers are promoted.

Rhodes, 21, is the top scorer in the country after firing in 26 goals for the Terriers and has been Allardyces No.1 target in this transfer window.

Allardyce is trying again for Rhodes after a £6m bid for Rangers Croatian star Nikica Jelavic was rejected.

The reason Tevez wont be joining West Ham is because Man City aren’t prepared to stump up his salary (understandably)

Kia Joorabchian has told talkSPORT that there is no possibility of Carlos Tevez joining West Ham on loan.

The 27-year-old Argentine striker is currently the subject of intense speculation about his future, with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain all linked.

But his agent has revealed that a move to the Championship leaders is not on the agenda despite rumours suggesting a return to Upton Park could be close.

“He is a West Ham fanatic”, Joorabchian said. “That is one club that is very close to his heart but I think that would not be possible.

“First of all Carlos is in a different position at the moment. West Ham are top of the league in the Championship, they have a good squad, they have a different objective. They’re in a division that is fighting for promotion.

“It would be very difficult for Man City to want to loan him out because they would have to end up compensating a lot of the salary and why would they do that?”

Jelavic deal over as the player gets greedy

West Ham have finally pulled the plug on the Jelavic deal as the player demanded ridiculous wages. Nikica is reported to be on 24k a week at Rangers but wanted double that in the Championship and raising to 60k a week if we get promoted!!

The club has been shafted this way too many times and I think they decided it was to much of a risk to take considering he isn’t proven in England (Scotland doesn’t count)

Personally I’m glad they told this mercenary to take a hike.

Herita Ilunga – Thank you & goodbye

Congolese defender Herita Ilunga has been released from his contract at West Ham with immediate effect after the player came to a mutual agreement with club.

The 29-year-old – who first made his debut for the Hammers in 2008 on loan from Toulouse – played his last game for Sam Allardyce’s team in the 2-1 Carling Cup defeat to Aldershot back in August and has been playing on loan at Championship rivals Doncaster since October.

Ilunga moved to the Boleyn Ground on a permanent basis for a fee of £3million in the summer of 2009 – and leaves having played 73 games for the club, netting three goals.

A statement on the Hammers’ Official website said: “The club would like to thank Herita for his service and wish him well for the future.”

Could it be true? Tevez for half a season?

Rumours are rife on Twitter that Carlos Tevez is close to making a return to West Ham United.

The Manchester City striker has recently seen proposed transfers to AC Milan, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain fall through.

However, Upton Park has now emerged as the shock destination for the 27-year-old, who is currently in his native Argentina following a fall-out with City boss Roberto Mancini.

Bookmakers have also slashed their odds on Tevez returning to the Hammers.

“Carlos Tevez could be returning to West Ham – we’ve gone evens for him to sign by the end of transfer window,” Sky Bet announced on their Twitter page.

Tevez originally joined West Ham in 2006 and spent one year in East London before leaving to sign for Manchester United.

I have no doubt they have enquired about him. Man City want to get rid of him and every club linked have dropped out of the reckoning. Kia last said on Talksport that Tevez will be stay at Man City until the summer but you never know….

For some reason Upson has convinced himself he is a good player. If ever there was a player we should of cashed in it was him. In the end the wanker ran out his contract and couldn’t even be arsed in the end contributing to our relegation.

Matthew Upson is tempted to leave the Britannia Stadium after spending just six months with the Potters.

He joined from relegated West Ham on a free transfer in August, but has only started five times in the league for Tony Pulis’ team.

The 32-year-old has played 21 times for England but has not even been selected as a substitute in the last two Stoke games.

Stoke’s squad boasts a plethora of centre-backs, including captain Ryan Shawcross and former Real Madrid and Tottenham player Jonathan Woodgate.

Upson’s chances of making the Euro 2012 England squad seem slim and without any guaranteed game-time, look set to remain that way unless he leaves.

Manager Tony Pulis suggested Stoke might consider a new signing, saying: ‘There is always that little bit of room to do some business, but it has to be the right bit of business.’

But in contrast chairman Peter Coates said: ‘We have a quite a large squad, and feel we are well served with cover.’

You know what I think. We have made a bid the club rejected it and Jelavic has got the hump. They cant say that so they go and make up some cock and bull or the ball goes into our court.

Rumours coming thick and fast

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has reportedly made Barcelona midfielder Alexander Hleb his number one target for the transfer window.

The talented playmaker has been a bitter disappointment since moving from Arsenal in 2008 for a fee of around £13m and manager Pep Guardiola has decided to let his man find another club. His contract, where he is rumoured to be getting £90,000-a-week, is up in the summer but the Barcelona board are more than happy to sell the player on a free now.

This has alerted a whole host of clubs in the Premier League, including Liverpool and Sunderland, but it’s the Championship league leaders who have emerged as the front runners.

Allardyce has been taking his time this transfer window to find the right kind of player that he feels could be the difference between automatic promotion and finishing in the playoffs. He’s had a reported £7m bid for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavić rejected and now has turned his attention on convincing Hleb to join the Hammers until the end of the season.

Hleb obviously wouldn’t come cheap in terms of wages however, even if just for a six months, and Hammers fans should be worried about whether the player still has the same ability that made him such a hit at Arsenal.

Injuries have seemingly taken its toll on Hleb, who has had failed loan spells at Birmingham, Stuggart and most recently Wolfsburg since becoming surplus to requirements under Guardiola.

That spell at Wolfsburg was terminated early by the German club six months early, after the 30-year-old struggled to find any sort of form, making just four appearances.
