Ze Eduardo?

West Ham United are close to completing a loan deal for Ze Eduardo with the Genoa striker due in London for a medical.

The Brazilian shot to the top of manager Sam Allardyce’s wanted list as the Hammers seek added firepower to take them to the Premier League.

Allardyce failed with bids for Huddersfield’s Jordan Rhodes and Nikica Jelavic of Rangers but are confident of landing Ze Eduardo.

The striker only joined Genoa 12 months ago when they paid Santos £4million for his services, but he was unable to make his debut as his Italian passport did not come through in time.

He was loaned back to Santos and scored seven goals in 16 games, before returning to Genoa in December.

He has yet to score for the Serie A side however and could clinch a permanent deal at West Ham if he impresses between now and May.

Blimey his whole career is one big loan

I reckon they have someone else up their sleeves as well. Surely they are not dumb enough to think this guy is our answer to goals!?
